Working within a team, in this position you will help to support and service a range of customers being supplied with IT hardware/software services including Servers, Workstations and Security products.

The role will involve:
The full range of system administration tasks performed on Microsoft-based servers and networks, including maintenance of Active Directories and databases in SQL Server or similar (not full DBA duties)
Troubleshooting the full range (software, hardware and network) of technical issues by liaising with customers and/or suppliers
2nd and 3rd line technical support to end users, using Windows-based workstations and servers, provided either over the phone, email, remotely or on-site
Systems administration of on-line services and hosted servers (Windows and Linux-based)
Design, planning and rollout management of new or changes to existing IT infrastructure/networks
Identification, design and implementation of new IT management processes and improvements to existing processes for use on both internal and customers' systems
Working with senior managers of SME customers' on their IT strategy, either in an advisory or delivery management role
Working with business development team on proposals and client development
Training and mentoring of junior staff members
